Cyber Security Awareness

FACT: 76% of organizations reported they experienced phishing attacks in 2017 with the average individual receiving 16 malicious emails a month.

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month and 2018 marks the 15th year of this awareness campaign to ensure that every individual stays safe and secure online. Cyber incidents can and will happen to organizations of all types and sizes. Here are helpful resources and tips to mitigate cyber risks organizations may face.

  • Claim Reporting: Notify your Conner Strong & Buckelew claims representative immediately if you suspect or know of a cyber incident! Waiting to report a cyber incident can result in uncovered claim expenses. If your business tries to remediate a cyber incident prior to reporting to your insurance carrier, you could be jeopardizing coverage. Cyber Awareness Month is a good time to remind your IT Department and Cyber Security Committee that immediate reporting is critical.

  • The Other Side of Cyber Breaches: Read how organizations can prepare for the potential physical damages cyber breaches can cause, as well as the business interruptions that could lead to significant financial loss. Interest in learning more?
